The Mash Vessel is the first in the brew house chain to start the magic. At Specific, it traditionally comes with two Steam Jackets, (one on the bottom and one on the side), a Top Glass Manway, our signature Overboil Ring, the Mash/Hydration inlet (for the Grist Hydrator – mentioned in a previous blog) and the Low Shear Mash Agitator with a variable speed drive. This vessel is also equipped with a Level Gauge Glass, a Mash outlet with a Butterfly valve, an Internal Drip Ring, CIP ball, a thermowell and the vessel has 1.5″ of insulation which is then clad in stainless steel.
