  • Manufacturing and Production Technologist

    The Manufacturing and Production Technologist Position is responsible for supporting the production environment of Specific Mechanical ensuring the day to day operations of the shop proceed efficiently and effectively. The position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible to the Quality and Safety Manager and the Production Manager. Duties

    • Supply Chain Management
      • Stock management
      • Drawing and Document Review
      • Arrangement of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations services for shop tooling and equipment
      • Shop organization and management
      • Process Improvements
    • Safety and Quality Control
      • Ensuring departmental quality checks are performed as product flows through shop, including final inspections
      • Enabling and Enforcement of the company Health and Safety policy
      • Goods inspection on arrival
      • Training staff on Quality Systems requirements
    • Production
      • Staging of Parts and ensure movement of product through shop
      • Monitoring production schedule and ensuring that projects are proceeding on time

    Education

    • Engineering Technologist Diploma; OR
    • Combination of experience including:
      • Quality Control
      • Production Management
      • Supply Chain Management
      • Manufacturing Experience

    Requirements

    • Experience with stores and inventory control experience considered a strong asset
    • Experience working within a manufacturing environment considered an asset
    • Experience with Quality Management Processes
    • Lifting of heavy loads (50+ lbs)
    • Class 5 Drivers license

  • Sheet Metal Worker: Apprentice Level 1 through to Journeyman

    A Sheet Metal worker (Apprentice Level 1 through to Journeyman) is needed to work primarily in stainless steel. Our benefits include extended medical and dental, plus a company-matching registered pension plan.

    Qualifications

    • Entry Level Trades;
    • Apprentice or Journeyman Industrial/manufacturing experience;
    • Proven attendance and safety record.

    Key Duties

    • Materials handling; layout and shear; Rolling and forming metal to specification; Materials finishing.

    Key Competencies

    • Math skills;
    • Blueprint reading;
    • TIG welding considered an asset;
    • Crane and forklift experience considered an asset.

    We require an Office Administrator who is personable, a self-starter and sharp in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Be excellent point of first contact to front office walk in and phone calls; administrative support, in charge of office equipment and office supplies
    • Manage, obtain information from and direct calls from diverse clients
    • Administrative and Accounts payable support for Finance
    • Support sales and marketing department in sales campaigns, Preparing sales orders, updating marketing information, preparation and planning for marketing events
    • Support to other company departments as required
    • Support for other office and shop supervisors
    • Plan & organize social committee and company functions (Christmas Party, Summer BBQ, golf etc.)
    • Other duties as required
