  • Metal Finisher / Labourer

    A Metal Finisher/Labourer is needed to join the Finishing Department. We work primarily in stainless steel and copper. Our benefits include extended medical and dental, plus a company-matching registered pension plan.

    Qualifications
    Hands on mechanical and fabrication shop experience;
    Extensive use of various power tools;
    Industrial/manufacturing experience;
    Proven attendance and safety record.

    Key Duties
    Use a variety of power and hand tools to produce required finishes on stainless and copper equipment;
    Assist in work flow organization and prioritization;
    Use correct techniques (training provided) in a safe and efficient manner;
    Safely and efficiently organize, set up, handle and transfer work pieces;
    Cooperate and coordinate with other departments; e.g., welding and shipping.

  • Welder-Fabricator

    We work primarily in stainless steel, with some work in aluminum and mild steel, and have an increasing requirement for coppersmithing. Our benefits include extended medical and dental, plus a company-matching registered pension plan.

    The wage is competitive, and depends upon level of experience and qualifications. Our benefits include extended medical plus company matching pension plan after 6 months.

    Experience needed:
    TIG welding is essential
    Stainless steel fabrication

  • Mechanical Engineering Technologist

    The Engineering team requires an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technologist to help design, document and communicate projects of varying size and complexity. The primary role of this position will be creating detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings with bills of material, conceptual and layout drawings, sheet metal developments, and weld callouts following ASME specifications. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with project managers and shop staff to obtain pertinent project information and translate the information to the drawings. Work may also include performing design calculations, creating designs, reviewing drawings, R&D activities and other duties as required.
     
    This role requires a mature, well-rounded person with the ability to multitask in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker that is able to meet tight deadlines, work well with a diverse and committed team and has excellent organizational and communication skills.

     
    Responsibilities:
    Prepare drawings and technical specifications for brewing, distillation, and industrial equipment

    Review vendor documents for compliance to project specifications and industry standards

    Research equipment specification requirements; including direct contact with equipment suppliers

    Prepare cost estimates in accordance with project scopes and technical specifications

    Identify quality requirements and ensure the proper processes are identified and implemented to achieve contractual quality commitments

    Understand project scopes and ensure designs are configured appropriately

    Support the project teams by improving internal processes and recommending design solutions.

     
    Qualifications and Key Capabilities:
    Mechanical Engineering Technologist diploma

    Minimum of 2 years of applicable manufacturing/fabrication industry design experience

    Knowledge of fabrication and machining processes

    Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is required

    Experience designing brewery, distillery, food processing, and pressure vessels (ASME Section VIII, Div.1) considered assets

    Demonstrated experience designing custom equipment, following applicable codes and standards

    Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills

    Leadership skills considered an asset

    Ability to maintain a high level of professional performance in a dynamic environment

    Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and vendors is mandatory

    Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment, including ability to troubleshoot

    Expertise in stainless steel process equipment is an asset
